SCHAGEN - Making sports facilities more sustainable costs a lot of money. That is why sports clubs can now benefit from the Sustainable Social Real Estate (Dumava) subsidy. With this new regulation, up to 20% of the costs for, among other things, LED lighting is reimbursed. The total subsidy budget is € 345 million and this year the scheme is open for the first time for sports facilities. Sports clubs that want to make use of the DUMAVA scheme can go to their sports association or the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) for sustainability advice. Suppliers such as Veko Lightystems also offer technical support and project guidance.

Smart lighting padel courts from the Noordkop -
SCHAGEN - Rekre Sport from Schagen, together with Veko Lightystems from Schagen, is working on new sustainable lighting for indoor padel courts throughout the Netherlands. In the coming two years, 150 to 200 jobs will be provided with smart LED line lighting that responds to use and saves energy. The specially designed lamps are impact -resistant, dimmable and improve visibility on the track without blinding.
