Halle/Leipzig (dpa) - The mood of the Central German companies has only improved slightly compared to the previous year. The President of the Halle Chamber of Crafts, Thomas Keindorf, said that there is no economic trend reversal compared to spring 2024. The economic climate index of the commercial economy was therefore only 32.4 points just above the previous year's value of 31 points. He was far from his previous maximum of 89 points in spring 2018. With the joint economic survey, the craft and industry and commercial chambers from Leipzig and Halle depict the business situation of the companies in the region. The chambers stand for more than 147,000 companies.
