Plans for a new business park in the county promise to deliver up to 1,000 new jobs. A major planning application has been submitted for the expansion of Ashville Business Park in Staverton, which could bring enhanced community facilities and a substantial economic boost to the local area. At the heart of the plans is a new 10,000sq m, purpose-built facility for Safran, the global aerospace and defence company, which is set to further expand its presence in Gloucestershire. The proposals form part of an ambitious hybrid application submitted by Ashville Staverton Ltd, the site owner and developer. The development includes up to 22,900sq m of general industrial and storage space, along with 2,712sq m of light industrial floorspace. The planning process is being managed by Cheltenham-based Morgan Elliot Planning on behalf of Ashville Staverton Ltd.
