Inverter forms stable and widely deployable Microgrid
A solution for this was found at shipbuilder Damen, which had developed a system that allows ships to use shore power anywhere and anytime. Walstroom does not have an equally stable voltage and frequency everywhere in the world, which is, however, necessary for a reliable effect of the different systems on the ship. The power solution in question (converter) can be placed on the deck of the ship and ashore and gives the crew full control over the voltage and frequency. Based on this solution, Greener Power Solutions developed a variant for "land applications", the Grid Sync. This is also intended to offer the end user a stable and reliable power grid, which is possible by placing the inverter between the (unreliable) mains and the Microgrid. This Microgrid consists of a number of batteries (tailored to the question), the inverter and the customers.

Built as part of the Combat Support Ship (CSS) program, this ship, which will take the name of Den Helder, a port city in the Netherlands hosting the main base of the Koninklijke Marine, was designed by Damen. The Dutch group Damen announced that its Chinese shipyard Nantong Yahua had launched the second barge of the CBa 6324 type, the first being currently being completed in Rotterdam. 63 meters long and 23.5 meters wide, this structure has a deadweight of 2000 tonnes. It is equipped with a Liebherr CBG 350 crane with a lifting capacity of 35 tonnes at 36 meters, capable of handling 30,000 tonnes per day.
